Magnificent Mill House Kitchen
This Magnificent Mill House, sadly had extensive fire damage and our clients wished to transform it to its former glory. Knights Country Kitchens worked in partnership with the Client and the Building Company to bring it back to a welcoming family home.
This family of 6 required heaps of storage and a space that could fulfil all of their individual requirements… a space to live and entertain.
Their new kitchen featured a bespoke painted kitchen in Farrow & Ball Lamp Room Grey. The worktops complimented this colour with grey and white marble Quartz. The kitchen cupboards are finished with natural iron pull handles and knobs. Oak worktops finish this kitchen on the dresser area, desk and window seat.
We installed modern applications such as a Double Villeroy & Bosch Farmhouse Bowl, Perrin & Rowe 3 in 1 hot tap with a stainless steel food preparation bowl. Matching storage, houses the Fisher & Paykel French style Fridge Freezer and a 300mm Wine cabinet. The large cream Aga combined with the Neff hide and slide oven and combi microwave are essentials for this busy family. The Neff induction hob is covered by a large Oak chopping board when not in use, offering up more worktop space.
To finish, a slim pullout pantry for all the families condiments and a double-door pantry with Oak storage sledges. We even incorporated an Oak desk area for homework into the design.
I have been extremely pleased with my new kitchen from Knights, the finish and quality of the carpentry is of (an expected!) very high standard. However my expectations have been surpassed in regards to the adaptability of the kitchen, both in terms of fitting it to an old building (in which no walls are completely true) and also the innovative usage of space within the cupboards and drawers – personal favourites being the appliances & pantry cupboards! We have also been very pleased with the appliances provided by Knights and the advice we received in choosing them – Fisher & Paykel fridge is a joy to use!
