Clever Recyling Ideas

One of the kitchens we fitted over 25 years ago, showcase Iroko Worktops.  These worktops are built from the Iroko tree which is found in the west coast of tropical Africa and is sustainably sourced.  Iroko hardwood is very durable, due to its naturally high oil content with a sharp dark and irregular grain which creates a rustic appearance.  When the wood is freshly oiled it possess a golden tone which darkens over time, showcasing a beautiful rich bronze finish.

When our client updated their kitchen  for a more modern look with new granite worktops, we could not bear to disregard the old Iroko worktops. So once removed our craftsmen made beautiful chopping boards out of these worktops.  These can be seen in our showroom at Clare, Suffolk.
